Jonathan Rhys Meyers says Tom Cruise is strict

Jonathan Rhys Meyers is speaking highly of recent co-star Tom Cruise's professionalism, but says he is strict around the set. While working together on Mission Impossible 3, Rhys Meyers learned firsthand that the megastar makes no time for nonsense. "I was nervous," he said. "Tom runs a very tight ship. Luckily, I don't drink because you do not turn up to a Tom Cruise film set hungover. You do not turn up late and you don't muck around. He will not stand for any s**t. He's strict with himself and everyone he works with."

Sienna's secure role

Sienna Miller has been given the okay for high security protection on the set of Interview, due to fears she may be the target of Islamic extremists. The film is a remake of the 2003 Theo van Gogh thriller, and a tribute to van Gogh himself - who was murdered in 2004 after his controversial movie Submission incited anger in the Muslim world. The film Interview has no connection to Islam, but there is worry that its association to van Gogh will spark another outcry. "We are very much aware that it requires a high level of security," said a source on the production team. "We will ensure Sienna and her co-star Steve Buscemi are given the sort of protection that this project requires."

Jessica's monkey business

Jessica Alba has spoken out about MTV convincing her to kiss a chimpanzee for the Most Romantic Moment award. She was filming a clip for Fantastic Four when MTV producers staged the chimp-kiss prank for the MTV Movie Awards. "It was awful," the star says "All of a sudden there was a monkey in my arms and I had to do a clip for the Most Romantic Moment award... So the monkey's in my arms and I'm supposed to give her a peck. She opened her mouth and her tongue is scraping against my teeth. Monkeys' teeth are really long, kind of like a snake. Then I had to do it again and she grabbed both of my ears and screamed in my face and showed me all of her teeth. I thought she was going to bite my face off. I think monkeys should be left in trees." The awards show will be aired later this year.

Becks has OCD

Soccer star David Beckham has admitted he suffers from obsessive compulsive disorder, and has been keeping it secret for years. "I've got this obsessive compulsive disorder where I have to have everything in a straight line or everything has to be in pairs," he confessed. "I'll go into a hotel room. Before I can relax I have to move all the leaflets and books and put them in a drawer. Everything has to be perfect. I'll put Pepsi cans in the fridge and if there's one too many then I'll put it in another cupboard somewhere. I would like to [stop]. I've tried and I can't stop."
